"Proof-like" tokens are limited edition versions made by the Franklin Mint for collectors. They are typically identical in design to the regular strike version, except they have a highly polished/reflective finish, uncirculated, and are excellent for collecting. Around 2000-2500 proof-like sets and 500 full proof sets were produced each year from 1965-1968. 1969 featured only full proof tokens. Today, the number of existing uncirculated condition proofs or proof-likes are likely a fraction of that. This token measures 39 mm in diameter (slightly larger than the standard 37.1 mm $1 slot size from 1965-2000s), standard 0.7 oz and made from a solid Franklinium II (nickel-silver alloy mixture). As you can see in the pictures below, this token is in excellent, uncirculated condition, as shown (and has a more polished appearance in person, due to the angle of lighting).
