Description: 10-22-38 Astoria probably the first exhibit of color Xerox art, this is from 1980. The title is the date of the first photocopy was made and it said 10-22-38 Astoria which was the date and where Chester Carlson and his assistant Otto Kornei successfully invented the copy machine. This is an exceptionally rare catalog and I could not find another anywhere on the internet. CONDITION: Comb bound paperback in excellent condition, no marks, damage or tears of any kind. What follows is a selection of electrophotographs from the exhibition 10-22-38 Astoria held at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. February 4 thru March 14, 1980. These photographs were made from 35mm slides on a Xerox 6500 color copier. Also included are statements made by the artists concerning their work or their ideas about the copier machine. Under each photograph the width of each work preceeds its height.
