100th Infantry Division White Back Patch WWII Vintage France Germany Europe

Description: The Patch: This auction is for One WWII Original 100th Infantry Division patch with a white back. This patch is in good condition. It has a very nice white backing. This patch does not glow under the UV light and is guaranteed to be authentic. The History: The 100th Infantry Division embarked for the European Theater in October of 1944. They moved to the Vosages Mountains in November when they relieved the 45th Infantry Division. Their earliest action took place here. Later they attacked into the Bitche area of Lorraine near the Maginot Line. The 100th took up defensive positions here while other Allied units fought the Battle of the Bulge. On January 1, 1945, the Germans attacked the 100th. For ten days, the men of the century division fought off these attacks. After a period of rest the division captured Bitche and moved forward to the Rhine. They moved across the Rhine with the 10th Armored Division and pushed to Stuttgart. They remained near Stuttgart until the war ended on May 8th, 1945. Please read my auction requirements. I have changed them based upon feedback and ratings received.
