Description: Unique custom Project70 #cardart which is a base card modified as fan art by Poggy Betts. The original artist is Alex Pardee. This is one of a few thousand base cards released by Topps. The fan artist Poggy Betts modified the card with an overlay covering all or part of the front surface of the card. Please inspect the item carefully. The initials on the back are from the FAN artist to certify the card is a 1/1, i.e., no other cards will be modified to look like this one. Poggy (formerly known as Pardee Betts) is known for art projects involving punching Pogs from 100 each of Project70 Pardee Betts and Pardee Guerrero cards. If this card were hand modified by Alex Pardee himself, or if Topps issued it as a 1/1, it would be worth over $1,000. Fan art of a Pardee card like this one generally sells for $30-$80. It is assumed that anyone interested in this card probably already has the base card and wants another, different version of the iconic monster card. The signature on the back is Poggy's, not the player's, and not Alex Pardee's. The card is an authentic Pardee that was removed from the case, artistically modified with paint and/or a printed overlay and returned to its case with the original sticker reaffixed as pictured (or with a blue Poggy Betts sticker, depending on the offering.
