Description: I need to clear some space on my shelves, so I have to part with some of my collection. The T77 Multiple Gun Motor Carriage was a variant of the M24 Chaffee tank that was introduced at the end of WWII. It used six M2 Browning .50 caliber machine guns mounted in a new turret. Primarily an anti-aircraft weapon, it was obsolete in the age of jet aircraft, so the project was cancelled at the end of WWII. Ding-Hao Hobby is part of the Taiwan’s Hobby Fan / AFV Club family and releases unique limited-edition kits with added features, such as resin, PE and metal parts. For this release, Ding-Hao has packaged AFV Club’s excellent 1/35 M24 Chaffee kit and added the new turret and six guns as resin parts to give us a very nice version of this obscure prototype weapon system. I found only one listing for this kit on eBay (from Taiwan), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this kit very quickly. Here is what I have found online about this fascinating kit: The Ding-Hao Hobby site (hobbyfan.com.tw) has a page showing the superb box art and a few shots of a completed and finished model. Unfortunately, there is no other information about the kit here. From other sources, I found the following information on Ding-Hao Hobby and their special status among collectors: Collector Grade Model Ding Hao is the third brand under Hobby Fan Trading Co. LTD alongside AFV Club and Hobby Fan. Inheriting the usual fine workmanship and meticulous research, Ding Hao provides collectors and modelers with higher skill alike another selection, and for this reason. Ding Hao only covers subjects that are based on historical weapons that are unique and rarely been seen! In order to maintain the quality and the value for collecting, each product in Ding Hao’s line will be limited to about one sixth the quantity as AFV Club. Scalemates.com has a listing showing this is a 2016 release based on an AFV Club new tool from 2013. There is a link to download the complete 16-page instruction set and painting guide for a previous M24 release (#AF35054). The site provides exceptional box art and a few links to reviews, books and walk-arounds of generic Chaffees to support your build. Darren Baker delivered an excellent In-Box Review on the archive.armorama.com site that starts with an overview of the subject before listing the various multimedia kit contents. He also provides two dozen photos of the sprues, hull, tracks, resin and metal parts. He gives his insights into the highs and lows of the kit and his Verdict was: “This is a nice model of an interesting vehicle, which if you are comfortable with the build processes should result in an eye catching model.” Eric Christianson posted a complete Build Review on the reviews.ipmsusa.org site where he passes on a ton of wisdom and experience to get you through this difficult build. He discusses each major step of the construction and provides tips and advice as he goes. Eric delivers over a dozen high-resolution photos of the parts, work-in-progress and final product. He ran into problems with the resin, but found good solutions, saying: “The T77 from Ding-Hao Hobby was a challenge to build, mainly due to the issues I encountered with the resin turret and main weapon.” This kit is in sturdy box about 15.5” x 9” x 3.5” with shots of a completed kit. As you can see from the pictures, the kit is in excellent condition and still sealed with the large paper cover taped on one side, so it is factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains one complete injection molded plastic model kit with detailed olive and clear plastic parts, over 40 cream resin parts, 8 brass cylinders and two photo etched metal frets, along with a set of vinyl tracks and a sheet of decals. It requires cement and paint to complete as shown. I use eBay Managed Payments, but I no longer ship internationally. Auction winner pays the winning bid and for a limited time, this large item is offered with $12 Flat Rate Shipping in the US! No reserve and a low starting bid. Check out my other great auctions and listings for combined shipping. Good luck! Those familiar with my listings can tell that I really enjoy these products and the modeling hobby. I like to provide more than just the bare facts about the items, trying to lead you into discovering more about the subjects and optimizing your builds (if that is your goal). I started out picking up models that I was interested in, with the eye toward building them when I had time. Always a bargain-hunter, I accumulated many more than I can build, so I found myself in a Collector status (sounds nicer than a hoarder). As I am sure you have noticed, my items are almost always sealed and in mint condition (I call them Gift-Ready), since I only open them when I am ready to build them. Now I enjoy making these products available to my fellow modelers; both Builders and Collectors. For the Builders, there are probably better (at least cheaper) ways to add to your project lists than buying from me, but you know you are getting top quality. For Collectors, my goal is to save you a few bucks over the competition for the same item in factory sealed and collectible (or resellable) condition.
