Immediately following, the new 143rd ESC Commanding General, Brigadier General Daniel I. Schultz, uncased the 143rd ESC colors, signifying the standup of this new logistics headquarters and the start of a new era for the 143rd. The coin was given out for "Performance Achievement & Excellence" by the Deputy Commanding General (1 Star). The motto back then is also on the coin "Projecting The Force". As the coin depicts 143rd Transportation Command dealt with transportation through the Air, Sea, Train, as well as overland fuel transportation.
