Not only are they US made, made with the best materials, and often built on Steele Saddle Trees, they are proof that quality saddles can be affordable. This great show reiner came in as a refurb, and boy does it looks sharp after its makeover! Shockingly, this is a 2000 model, but even before its makeover, it had been well cared for. Very classic in its look as its fully stamped in basketweave stamping, finished off with classic floral tooling accents and just the right amount of silver. This one is technically on a 15.5” tree, but with the ample padding to the seat and deeper seat bed, fits and measures true to 15”. On a Steele Equi-Fit tree, on Full QH bars, measuring 7” offering a ton of shoulder flare with the EF tree, moderate rock through the bars, fitting low and wide. This would be a great option for a modern, thicker type Reining horse. Offers an equitation cut skirt for a close contact feel. This one had trophy fenders on it, which we’ve replaced with a set off of a Tim Piland saddle, and do show his makers mark on the fender, but the fender is a perfect match for the saddle. Short of the small makers mark, you’d never know these fenders weren’t original to the saddle. The fenders offer a ton of adjustment and have built in leather wrapping to maintain the Hamley twist, that then wraps into the stirrup hobble. We really love this detail! The leather on this saddle has been darkened to a rich, dark oil and is incredibly soft. Does show a few marks here and there, shows a bit of staining on the suede seat, and a bit of tarnish to the silver, and has a bit of wear to the suede covering on the gullet channel Again, this saddle is in great condition-especially for its age. This one is still more than appropriate to hit the show pen with. You defiantly cannot go wrong with it at this price!
