Description: An original hand coloured engraved map of Ancient Greece. Titled within a decorative cartouche lower right 'A New Map of the So. & Mid. Parts of Ancient GREECE vix. EPIRUS, HELLAS, or GRAECIA PROPIA, and PELOPONNESUS, together with the Adjoining Islands'. With a dedication of His Highness William Duke of Glocester. Engraved by Sutton Nicholls (fl. 1700-1745) and published by Edward Wells in 'A New Sett of Maps both Antient and Geography' in the early 18th century. The hand colouring is a little later. Printed on laid paper and laid to card. In very good original condition, central fold as published. Presented with a salmon pink coloured card mount which is in very good condition. Unframed.
