Description: I have here for sale a play entitled LOVE'S LAST SHIFT: or The Fool in Fashion, A Comedy as it is acted at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, by their Majesties' Servants. Written by C Cibber and published by W Feales, R Wellington, et al, London in 1735. It has a b/w plate at the start, a dedication to Richard Norton of Southwick and a Prologue by a Friend, spoken by Mr Verbruggen. Also an Epilogue at the end, spoken by Miss Cross, who sung Cupid. All these pages and the first page of the play have illustrated chapter headers, capital letters and tail-pieces. Rubricated title page. In good condition with spine leather still intact so pages firm. Pages clean. 95 pages, 17 x 10 cm.
