1742 Netherlands Ducaton Hollandia Shipwreck NGC Silver Rider West Friesland

Description: This is a 1742 Netherlands West Friesland "Silver Rider" 1 Ducaton from the 1743 Hollandia Shipwreck NGC Genuine, DAV-1834. The first two images are provided by the NGC Photography Team and can be downloaded. The Dutch East Indiaman Ship "Hollandia" sunk off the Isles of Scilly, England, carrying large quantities of silver pillar dollars and some silver cobs. This larger crown sized coin has some obvious signs of saltwater corrosion and the upper areas of the coin being harder to make out, but overall there is still quite a bit of details left. There is some toning on each side with like a lighter goldish/yellow and hints of almost like a darker blue hue in places. This coin comes in the NGC plastic slab with the special blue "Shipwreck Certification" label.
