Mountain men were most common in the North American Rocky Mountains from about 1810 through to the 1880s (with a peak population in the early 1840s). They were instrumental in opening up the various emigrant trails (widened into wagon roads) allowing Americans in the east to settle the new territories of the far west by organized wagon trains traveling over roads explored and in many cases, physically improved by the mountain men and the big fur companies, originally to serve the mule train-based inland fur trade. In the 18th century, the Sioux Indians were transitioning to a semi-nomadic lifestyle on the Great Plains, primarily focused on hunting buffalo, following the herds westward due to the introduction of horses which allowed them to become skilled nomadic hunters, and often engaging in conflict with other tribes as they moved to new areas; their lifestyle was largely defined by gender roles with men primarily responsible for hunting and women managing domestic tasks like food gathering and processing hides.Bill Hearne first worked first for Seagull (London) in 1972 (aka RealModels), among other sculptors like Richard Almond in 1977, D. Grieves, G. Haines, M. Feldwick, and J. Staines. Hearne ventured off on his own with Hearne Originals in 1977, then Hearne Miniatures in 1988.Your shipment will arrive via USPS Priority Mail (1-4 business days) or USPS Ground Advantage (2-5 business days), after the 2-3 day processing time (upon paid purchase)Shipment(s) sent out of Lemon Grove, California, USAWE CAN COMBINE-SHIP - ASK US FIRST!Will be packed very well - READ OUR FEEDBACK!No Returns ***AN INVOICE WILL BE SENT AFTER PURCHASE, WHICH MAY REFLECT A MORE ACCURATE POSTAGE RATE FOR THIS ITEM - DON'T PASS THIS UP YET!
