Each fable comprised of engraved text, head- and tail-pieces, a full-page engraved plate, all after Fessard, and engraved on the plate by Bardin. The engraved plates (verso blank) are inserted outside of the pagination. Green calf, marbled endpapers. Size: 8vo (19.8cm x 13cm).Very Good internally in a Good only binding. The contents are bright and clean, with just a few small blemishes. One leaf working loose (but still attached at the head). Binding quite worn, and spine and corners rubbed. Some chipping to leather at head of spine. Hinges still solid.
