Description: Vintage Bi-Centennial? keychain advertising piece with 1776 Lady Liberty Coin Stamp on one side, and The Peoples State Bank, Holland-Zeeland, Michigan on the other. Coin/medallion measures approx 1.5" in diameter, chain is 1.25" in length and key loop is 1" in diameter - entire piece is approximately 3.75" in length, and heavy. I found multiple unopened boxes of these medallions in an estate, each one is stamped a little differently, with minor imperfections - to be expected in mass producing - but they all look identical at first glance. The Peoples State Bank branch in Holland, Michigan was opened a few days before Christmas in 1905. In 1928 they moved to an ornate building located at 36 E. Eighth Street - still a prominent downtown Holland historical building used for various offices today. I'm assuming this coin/medallion was produced around 1976 in recognition of the bi-centennial celebration and used for advertising purposes, especially considering a 1776 Morgan coin was never produced, being about 100 years before it's time.
