Description: Here's a real nice hand made tin toleware match box from the 1800s...it was hand made by a tinsmith with hand soldered seams....hand painted pair of apples on top of lid and leaves on 3 sides....hinged cover...original black paint;nice old patina....it has 3 holes at top for mounting to a wall....3 1/4"long x 2 1/8"deep x 2 1/2"tall....Good condition with only a couple small dents; no other damage. Normal old wear from use. Just left it as we found it...uncleaned. It came from a New England collection of early toleware...
