Description: For sale is a cool 1821 Capped Bust Silver Dime. Capped Bust Dimes were minted from 1809 to 1837 and changed size and thickness a couple times during its run making it a very interesting coin. Capped Bust Dimes were always minted in small quantities, with them being lost and melted over the years who knows how many are left out there! In 1821 they minted two varieties of the coin: the small date and large date varieties. This coin is the Large Date variety. And like all Capped Bust Dimes, these coins are 90% silver.As you can see from the pics both coin is in well-circulated but still good shape, and it would come in at an AG grade. But even with the heavy circulation all lettering, images, dates, and lettering are all present, though faded in some small spots. The coin has no damage and it has not been cleaned.This is a nice vintage coin to add to any Dime collection. Thanks!
