The obverse features the laureate head of king George IV, facing left, while the reverse shows Pistrucci’s instantly recognisable mounted Saint George motif with a dragon underfoot at sword point. Tiny ‘WWP’ and ‘’B.P’ below for the artist and the then Master of the Royal Mint, William Wellesley-Pole. The edge shows the raised regnal year of ‘SECUNDO'.
