William Hazlitt is considered to be one of the greatest critics and essayists in the history of the English language alongside Samuel Johnson and George Orwell. With a continuous pagination, it is possible that the cancel leaf at S4 is present. Hazlitt offers a selection of sixteen essays which discuss topics such as art, literature and philosophy. CONDITION Rebacked with a cloth spine binding over marbled boards and leather extremities, with new endpapers. externally smart with some shelf wear and rubbing to the front board, with a minor scuffing to the leather at the extremities to the front and rear boards. Internally, firmly bound. With a minor faint scattered spotting throughout.
