Description: This is a VERY rare book in relatively good condition for its age. Published in Limerick, Maine in 1827, this is a biography of Benjamin Randal (Randall) of Newcastle, New Hampshire who is associated with the Northern Free Will Baptists, of which John Buzzell (of the Parsonsfield Seminary & also the author) was also a major figure in the early 19th Century. Leather covers have a lot of wear; spine no longer legible; binding is tight. Inside covers are stained and there is some staining throughout the book. One page is torn almost in half (please see photo) but is still attached. Names in pencil and in pen of original owners of the book; small tears on several pages (again, please see photos). A fascinating piece of Maine and New Hampshire religious history. Note: I try to identify any flaws in books as much as possible. Sometimes a photo will catch something that I hadn't noticed when making the listing--so it's good practice to look at the photographs as well as to read the listing. I want buyers to be pleased with what they buy! Thanks for looking
