Description: This 6” x 7 ¾” stamped and autographed document is an interesting piece not only for the New York City historian but also for those interested in legal matters. Here Abraham Austen, Clerk of New York City, attests to the authenticity of the signature of Reuben Reilly on a conveyance as well as his authority to sign the document as a “Commissioner in and for the City.” There is a seal in the upper left corner. A few age spots, but over-all this document is in very good condition.
