This is a late printing of this map which on the rare occasions that copies are offered tend to be printed in the early 1800's. SIZE: The printed area including titles is approximately 21 x 18.5 cm, 8.25 x 7.25 inches (medium) plus margins. PROVENANCE: A map published in 'Barclays Complete and Universal English Dictionary' by the Rev. James Barclay, revised by Henry W. Dewhurst and published by Fisher & Co. London.ARTIST/ENGRAVER: Drawn and engraved by I. Russell. John Russell, an English physician and portrait painter, was born 1745 in Guildford. He also was interested in astronomy and developed a model of the moon surface. He died in 1806 in Hull.TYPE: Antique engraving printed on paper.
