In good rebound condition, with minor rubbing and wear to boards, along with slight staining to the front board of Volume I. Text blocks remain bound well, with sturdy hinges. Periodic wear to pages, with slight edge wear, scuffing, foxing, and slight marginalia, the latter of which is mostly concentrated at the front of each volume. Volume I and II include a map each, while Volume III includes a facsimile of Cortes’ signature. Each frontispiece remains intact, with the loss of tissue guards on Volumes I and III. Some pages have been reattached and reinforced during the restoration process, primarily at the front of each volume. Small repairs to some tears. Ex-library from The Library of Philadelphia, with bookplates, small stampings and marginalia, and library cards present in each volume.
