The Illustrated London News was a newspaper founded by Herbert Ingram with the first edition appearing on 14 May 1842. It was the worlds first illustrated weekly newspaper. Sixteen age yellowing to the pages. The images are in black and white unless otherwise stated. Some of the pages may be loose, and have minor cuts tears and blemishes due to their great age - anything more than pages (32 sides) It measures 395 x 290 mm (15.5 x 11.25). The spine is loose with binding witness marks where once bound, there is minor will be mentioned in the main body of the description. The engravings vary in size.
