Description: This is an original 1855 Waltons' Vermont Register and Farmers' Almanac. It is followed by a diary type calendar which has been filled out by the former owner. The book has 144 pages and includes information about President Franklin Pierce who was paid $25,000. There was no Vice President as the man elected had died in office. It is about 6" by 3 & 5/8". These old almanacs are like touching history. The include lots of local information about who held office, where and when there were meetings and detailed lists of cities, manufacturers and other historic facts. It is especially true for those that were not created to advertise any product or service. I am also listing the same almanac for the years 1849 and 1850.
