Description: Original 1860's cdv sepia photo shows a child with a German painted tin toy train engine with three passenger cars. The train is small in scale. Each of the cars has three open windows. The train engine, with pull string attached, sits on a three legged ornate circular pedestal table. Next to the child on the other side is a very ornate table which appears to have had child head decorations on the four corners. Only one head on the corner showing is visible. The photo was taken in London, England & has the photographer's marking on the back "Mr. J. Wellings, 9, Coborn Terrace, Rye Lane, Peckham, London, S. E." The photo measures 4 1/8 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches wide. The photo, which is in excellent condition, shows rich details & elaborate furniture. There is minute age soiling on the matt & a very slight bit of wear around the edges. There is a thin line that is lighter by the top of the table. This appears to have occurred in the making & is not wear. This item is inventory #7604.
