Description: 1860’s N. K. Boswell cdv. Published by Lane of Haverhill Massachusetts. Boswell moved from Haverhill to Laramie in the late 1860’s. He found himself in the grips of crooked law enforcement in his new home. Murderous. Boswell took it upon himself to start a vigilante group made from the righteous of Laramie. When opportunity arose, the vigilantes cleaned up the town. One of Boswell’s vigilantes moved to Colorado and started his own vigilante group there. Colorado wasn’t as receptive to the idea. The man was hung for his Wyoming justice practices. Boswell lived a long life. He would become the first warden of the Wyoming Territory prison. Cdv is about 2 by 4 inch. Stains, toning and wear.
