Darnaby, Master, for a Cargo of Logwood Imported By Tho. Wattson & Sons. Philadelphia, PA: Bill of lading & Entry of Merchandise form, completed in manuscript. Dated 1 February 1862 for the Brig Delhi; Darnaby, master; sailing from Port au Prince bringing in a cargo of 300,000 board feet of logwood. The goods were imported by Tho. Wattson & Sons and are listed in the packages and contents section of the form. The quantities are calculated for customs duties and signed by the agents in charge in manuscript. The reverse with the District and Port of Philadelphia bill of lading affirmation printed information, partially filled-in and with receipted note of duties paid on the blank panel at the bottom of the sheet. Form with a small woodcut of ships-at-sea, printed and sold by John C. Clark & Son 230 Dock Street Philadelphia. Document approx. 11" x 16 1/2" size; with old fold lines, little nicks, closed edge-tears to the paper edges, edge-soiling; in good condition.
