Description: This is one of the many patriotic envelopes that were produced by the Union during the Civil War. This one has a red, white and blue bonnet with the caption "The Quaker Bonnet of 1860." It was created by Magee, 816 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA. The envelope is 5 & 1/4" by 2 & 3/4". It is so white that it is not very well defined in the photo. It is in excellent condition. I am listing a large collection of these patriotic envelopes.
