Description: This very neat 1869 envelope was sent from Tyrone Pennsylvania to Madena PA in Clearfield County. The cover (presumably 1869) has a Scott #114 tied by a cork cancel. The corner card on the from is for Lloyd, Caldwell & Comp (they were a banking firm). The back of the cover has a very neat map showing rail connections to Tyrone. The map shows Pennsylvania, Maryland, parts of New York, West Virginia, Ohio and Virginia. The cover lists the names of the railroads which include Erie RR, New Jersey Central RR, Pennsylvania RR, Baltimore & Ohio, Cumberland Valley, Atlantic & Great Western, Marietta & Cincinnati and maybe one or two more. This is a fairly scarce advertising cover and a nice Tyrone and Blair County PA item. Cover has some obvious edge wear but still a desirable advertising cover. Overall a VG-F cover.
