Description: This is an original circa 1870's-1880's large & impressive 6.25 inches by 4 inches size (approximately half plate size) occupational tintype photo. The tintype shows two painters. One man holds two brushes & a can of paint. The other man holds one brush & a can of paint & is smoking a cigar. Both of the men have lots of paint on their clothing. This photo was found in a Manheim, Pa. estate & the photo was probably taken in Lancaster County, Pa. The photographer was superb as the details in the photo are very sharp. There are numerous bends. There are some light surface scratches & there is some light wear. An outstanding occupational photo in this impressive large size.
