Description: Circa 1870's-1880's tintype of father standing by & his two daughters sitting in a faux boat (photographer's prop). The faux boat has an American flag flying at one end. Also, at the same end of the faux boat there is an American flag painted on the side. The father has one hand on the steering wheel of the boat. The boat has the name of "Alice" which is painted on the side. This tintype was taken in a studio setting which has a painted harbor scene with a lighthouse as a backdrop. The photo measures 3 3/8 inches by 2 5/8 inches. There is one small smooth bend. There are a number of tiny pin speck sized surface rust spots on the front on the surface. Most of these blend in fine when the photo is being looked at straight on. They all are easily visible when the photo is held at an angle under a bright light. The back has some surface rust & crazing. An interesting & appealing photo. Please examine the photos closely & purchase based on your own judgement as to condition & value.
