Description: Price lowered. This is a really nice, COMPETE SET (except of course for the 1856 FE cent) of Flying Eagle and Indian Head Cents from 1857 through 1909-S inclusive. There are 59 coins, including a nice, very rare 1869/69 (it is called a 9 over 9 in this folder). It is housed (except for the four certified coins) in a Whitman Classic Album. All of the plastic slides are present. All of the coins were never cleaned, and all are PROBLEM-FREE. The four certified coins are an 1864-L ANACS G 6 with a visible faint L, a PCGS 1871 G 6 that IMO should have made VG 8. There is a PCGS 1877 G 4, but I've seen ones like this graded G 6, and it has choice color for an 1877... 1877 is a date that is often not a pleasing color. And there is an choice 1909-S ANACS VF25 in an old holder that would get a 30 or 35 today IMO. Additionally, the 1909-S has a REALLY nice brown color for that date/mint... 1909-S is often an awful, washed out color, and often streaky. Use the photos to make your own determinations. The 1908-S is EF in my opinion and also has a really nice color for that date/mint. Please use ALL 24 PHOTOS to make your own determinations, and please ask for additional photos of any coins if you would like them. It's up to you if you want to crack the certified coins out and put them in the folder. It's important that the 1877 and 1909-S are certified, so you can be sure they are authentic, as there are many counterfeits out there of both dates. Any scratches that appear in pictures with holders are on the holders, and NOT on the coins. The coins wouldn't grade if they were scratched. Often you see sets of Flying Eagle and Indian Cents for sale on here that are either not complete, or they are full of disasters. There are no problem coins in this set. No coins have been cleaned- they all have original surfaces/color. No coins are damaged, none have environmental issues or are pitted, etc, etc. They have pleasing color and go very well together as a collection. Many of these coins are in nice grades, including the tougher dates through 1880, 1885, 1894, etc. 1873 is the Open 3 Variety. 1886 is the tougher Type 2. The 3 Flying Eagles are well-struck and really nice. The collection will be shipped USPS Priority Express, and usually goes overnight for next day delivery. A signature confirmation is required. If the collection is purchased on a Saturday or Sunday, the collection will be shipped the following Monday. Shipping only within the US. Buy with confidence... 14-day return privileges.
