Description: Vintage large 17 1/2" ceramic figurine from Germany, approximate 1880s, by Carl Schneider. This figurine of a woman / girl is 17 1/2" tall. She is wearing a large hat and carrying a letter. The figurine has the Unger, Schneider & Cie mark, which is a C with two arrows through it, and the letters DEP, and the model number 10548 and "GERMANY". PLEASE NOTE: One hand has been broken and repaired, (SEE PHOTOS). Otherwise excellent. Painted with gold accents, blond hair, beautiful face. This is larger than most of the Carl Schneider figurines.
