Description: Opportunity to own something quite scare and in quite good condition for it's age - original 1884 train time schedule ("time table") for the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad for the No. 4 Cedar Rapids - Ottumwa Lines (cities in Iowa). Questions regarding its originality as the condition is quite good for paper over 130 years old- it's printed on a thicker card stock- Cedar Rapids, Iowa is only 20 miles from me so it is more likely something original like this would present itself- magnifying the ink - the ink is not pixelated so definitely not a recent photocopied copy- magnifying the material - appears to be rag paper (cotton paper) and this type of paper does tend to age better than paper of wood pulp. Also this type of paper was more commonly used in the 1800's There are some condition issues so please review the pictures carefully - in summary; has paper creases, stains on the left side on edge, small minor tears, other small stains here and there but not particularly noticeable. BUT, I think these small blemishes add some character to this old beauty! Would look great framed.
