It was towards the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century that the great Parisian bookseller had it executed,under the direction of his enlightened taste, these charming little volumes,of which only a few have come down to us, and in which the delicacy of the execution and the aesthetic proportions of the compositions,which characterize the great artistic movement of this period, are combined so well suited to the naivety and fantasy of the Gothic style.
