The reverse shows the famous St. George on horseback armed with a sword and slaying a dragon under foot. The date (1889) below, and small initials (B.P.) for the engraver Benedetto Pistrucci. A tiny “S” above the date indicates it was mentted at the Royal Mint in Sydney.
