Description: This stunning octagonal silver award medal was produced by the Arthus-Bertrand Company in Paris, France and was engraved by A. Desaide. It shows a stag on the obverse surmounted by the cross of St. Hubert. The medal was issued by the Societe Centrale des Chasseurs Contre le Braconnage (Central Society of Hunters Against Poaching), which was publicly established on April 24, 1876. This medal was awarded in 1891 to the Lepers Gendarme organization of Berck, a commune located in the northern French department of Pas-de-Calais.
