This suite is numbered 348. Dallastype is a process coined by Duncan C Dallas, and it was a method he established over forty years. Signed by Duncan C Dallas and Walter Crane to the limitation page. Collated, complete with all eight plates retaining their original tissue guards. Held in the original clamshell portfolio box Walter Crane is considered to be one of the the most prolific and influential artists of his generation. Remembered for his contributions to children's literature alongside the likes of Randolph Caldecott and Kate Greenaway. A core part of the Arts and Crafts movement, he worked across several media. A beautiful example of Walter Crane's talents as an artist. CONDITION In the publisher's original box. With the plates loosely inserted as called for. Externally, smart, with splits to the cloth at the front joint. Bumping to the extremities and rubbing to the rear board. The plates are bright. Occasional light spots to plates. The 'Act 5 Scene 1' plate is particularly spotted.
