Description: Near fine condition. First edition, first printing. Bound in full embossed red cloth with bright gilt lettering; blind stamped with a floral holly pattern. Illustrated with images from the book in color and a full page, tissue guarded, frontispiece engraving. Previous owners handsome bookplate attached to the inside front cover. Some light foxing around that bookplate and on the first blank page, most likely the bookplate was made from paper with acid or a problem with the glue. Remaining pages are clean and bright. Spine is faded from sun exposure, but covers look like new. 7.75 x 5.25 inches.
