Description: Aryan Word-Building. By George O. Holbrooke. 1st Edition published in 1910 by The Knickerbocker Press of New York. "Sample Copy" from The Knickerbocker Press stamped on title page. Rare. Only original copy found of this title. The term "Aryan language" was used in 19th and 20th century works to refer to ancient Indo-European languages, including: Vedic Sanskrit, Old Persian, Avestan, and Bactrian. Condition: Binding is sound but this book has seen bookworm action. I believe they caused the erosion to top and top corners of boards. There is a bit and some staining in front to the top outer page tips. At the end of the book from 393 onward bookworm signs grow and grow and are heaviest on the rear blank flyleaves. Text is affected in the index. Two pages in the old Russian section and two pages in the Old Celtic section. (Both pictured above.) else they confined their nibbling to the outer margins. Otherwise, the majority of pages are clean and whole. 9 1/2" x 6" with 442 pages.
