The first 2 or 3 days here were ones of agony but last Sunday we got an American Surgeon and nurse from Mexico City. The Doctor examined my very careful - cleaned out my stomach said he wasn't needed and that all I had was the runs. Well they fixed me up in a fine shape right away and I am now improving rapidly. The shot paralyzed me from my waist down so have no use of my legs at all. However they are improving slowing. The Doctor said stay here in the this hospital until my wound was about healed and then they would move me into Mexico City for this reason if my paralysis doesn't improve. First on I am slow getting the use of my lower limbs back again, an operation will be necessary to extract the Bullet though he doesn't think now an operation will be. For this reason we will move into Mexico City Hospital tomorrow or next day where I will be directly under the care of an American Surgeon, American nurses and American Hospital. The operation will be a slight one so he says. I am now feeling fine - my wound is almost entirely healed and they give me now almost anything I wish to eat.
