Description: Original ink signature of Harvard University Track Coach Edward L. Farrell as he was headed to the Olympics in 1924. Twelve years earlier he had been an athlete himself in 1912! He died in 1953 and is quite rare. Autograph was removed from the album of 1924 Olympian Ben Rothwell (boxer) and he obtained it in person on the steam ship "America" as he and the other Olympians we on their way to compete in the games. The entire album was authenticated by PSA/DNA and sold through Heritage Auctions. No autograph was destroyed in removing these from the book and great care was taken to preserve the historical integrity of the signatures.
