Description: This British Military Sterling Silver & Tortoise Shell Sweetheart Badge was Made by Collett & Anderson in 1916. The badge was made for the East Lancashire Regiment serving in Egypt. The regiment insignia is a sphinx resting on a tablet under the crown with the red rose of Lancashire below encircled by a laurel wreath and “East Lancashire” in a banner at the very bottom. In excellent condition with tarnish and small cracks in the shell, visible upon close inspection as shown in the photos.
