The "Weimar Republic" existed in Germany from the end of the "Empire of Germany" that lost World War I, until the rise of the "Third Reich" in Germany that lost World War II. World War I had ended in November of 1918 with the signing of the Armistice, the "Kaiser" had fled to Holland and the Weimar Government was just beginning. The rampant inflation was just beginning.
