Description: Here's a really rare piece of horse racing memorabilia. This is an authentic Daly Racing Form from October 14, 1922 featuring the legendary Hall of Famer and Kentucky Derby winner Exterminator ("Old Bones") running in the Arundel Handicap at Laurel Park. This was his first race after doing a special exhibition against the clock at Hawthorne in Chicago, and six furlongs wasn't his best distance, so he ended up running fourth to Calamity Jane in this race. But he was still the 1922 Horse of the Year and one of the best horses to ever run. This also has some nice stakes and top horses running at Hawthorne, Latonia and Jamaica. Also in here is In Memorium, who was another top horse of the era. This is in excellent condition and not brittle like so many other old newspapers because in 1922 they were still printing on pretty good quality paper stock and not the cheaper newsprint that came into use later and tends to deteriorate much faster. So this can be safely handled and enjoyed with care. Old Daily Racing Forms are pretty hard to find compared to racing programs, which tended to be saved much more often. This does have some folding creases and a bit of staining in the top right corner and some chipping along the edges and spine, but overall it's very nice and there's can't be many of these left.
