Description: 1923 Zeenut (PCL) -JAMES "JIM" JOLLY [JOLLEY] (Vernon Tigers). Often mistakenly listed as depicting Smead Jolley, this card features another individual that played largely in the Texas League. The Zeenut series of cards was produced every year by the Collins Candy Co from 1911 to 1938, each set contained somewhere between 48 to nearly 200 cards and includes many players that were both future or former Major League players. The 1923 set is a popular one and the last to have the background cut away as beginning in 1924 they left the background in place and it tends to make many of the later sets look the same.
