Description: I have for sale an assistant sergeant at arms medal/badge from the 1924 Republican National convention that was held in Cleveland, Ohio. At this convention the incumbent president Calvin Coolidge was nominated for president and went on to win the general election and he was our 30th president. The medal has two parts connected by two short chains. The top pinback piece reads ASSISTANT - SERGEANT AT ARMS and above it shows an eagle perched on a shield. The bottom piece is round and around the outside it reads REPUBLICAN NATIONAL - CONVENTION and in the center, it reads CLEVELAND, OHIO, 1924 and it shows the capitol dome. The medal is 3 5/8 inches long and the top pinback piece is 1 3/4 inches wide. It is bronze looking metal and its in circulated condition, see photos.
