Richard Tauber sings two famous songs from Heinrich Berte pastiche Operetta Das Dreimadlerhaus ('House of the Three Girls'), better known to English audiences as Lilac Time, a quasi-biography of Schubert by the Austro-Hungarian (1857-1924). First filmed (on silent) in Germany in the following year and revived on the stage (in French) in Paris in 1928 and 1931, it was heard again its original text in 1933, when Tauber partnered the coloratura soprano Irene Eisinger (1903-1994). The following year, Tauber also appeared in a British film version entitled Blossom Time (first coined as a title in the 1921 US version by Sigmund Romberg, this was actually based on the 1923 London adaptation of Dreimadlerhaus which Clutsam, with Adrian Ross, originally dubbed Lilac Time). This record was issued in conjunction with the 1934 British film version entitled Blossom Time Kammersänger C. If for any reason your transaction was NOT SATISFACTORY, pls contact me and I will work something out with you. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A REASON TO GIVE ME A NEGATIVE RATING or a LOW STAR RATING. Quick note on grading: The Grade (Excellent to Poor, I don't give Mint) refers to the WEAR of the record. Any other defects are stated separately When I listen to a record, I may also give it an aural grade (again E to P), and make a SUBJECTIVE judgment of the pressing quality for hiss and surface noise."EXCEPTIONALLY QUIET" is close to noiseless, like a vinyl pressing."VERY QUIET" is an above average quiet record for a given pressing."Quiet" is a record that is a great example with some noise. These judgments are SUBJECTIVE and will depend one the styli, phonograph etc. you use on your own equipment. Multiple item shipping: I am happy to combine items for shipment in one parcel.
