These undated pieces were struck at the Loyang mint around 1928. It is a Crown plus size piece and is larger than an old US Silver Dollar. The "Republic" of China began in 1912 when the millennia old "Empire" finally ended. The first President, Sun Yat-sen had died in 1925 just before these coins were produced. At this time the "Republic" was fighting the "Communists" and the Japanese had not yet invaded. Weight: 22.33 Grams, 40 Millimeters, Copper. An old "Morgan", "Peace" or "Eisenhower" Dollar is 38.1 millimeter. "Standard Catalog of World Coins" (1901-2000) by Krause-Mishler. Y#395. Obverse: HO - NAN • 100 CASH • Crossed flags with 4-millimeter "tassels". Reverse: CHUNG HUA MIN KUO • Republic of China. • Floral designs. The Coin: A fully original piece. It passed from hand to hand for some time, earning some wear and marks, but it has never been cleaned. As grading is subjective, please see the pictures and judge for yourself.
