Description: 1930's Hawaii Pacific Islands Cruise Ship Crew Fiji Samoa Australa Photo Album --- I took a total of 88 digital photos showing the album pages and various close-ups (scroll down to view) --- SMALL album (9" x 6") with mostly SMALL snapshots (2" x 2.5", many are identified in the photo borders). The album has 21 black paper leafs with photos, some with photos on both sides but many with photos on one side (a "leaf" being "2 pages" in conventional book terminology). --- There are a total of 84 photos in the album. The snapshots are in mostly two sizes, the 2" x 2.5" already mentioned and a 2.5" x 3.5" size (you can easily tell the difference looking at the album pages). --- As I note below there are about 5 or so larger photos that appear to be souvenir/tourist photos. --- There are also a handful of shots of local women, they look like studio portraits so I'm assuming these were obtained locally as a souvenir (but I suppose they could be from local encounters by the album owner). --- All of the photos are glued to the pages (they appear to be fully glued in, you can see ripples etc as an artifact). --- As expected a number of the snapshots are not in sharp focus. --- The album appears to be from someone that worked on various cruise ships in the 1930's, mostly in the Pacific Islands (there is a photo showing one of the supports of what I take to be the Golden Gate bridge being built...identified as "Frisco"). --- The album measures 9" x 6". I show all of the pages (you'll have to scroll down to see the pages and some photos in close-up, the 24 ebay hosted photos just show the page spreads so you don't see much in those). --- As already NOTED that there are some 3.5" x 4.5" photos that appear to be tourist or souvenir photos likely available to passengers of the various cruise ships (a few photos of passenger airplanes had to have been done by a professional from another plane and are clearly made as promotional/souvenir photos as the quality is superior). --- There are notes on some photos that indicate various ships. I see a life preserver in a few shots from the S.S.H.F. McCormick. Also noted in the margins the SS Lurline and the SS Mariposa. --- You can see that the cover of the album is split along the spine and is detaching. A few of the first blank page leafs are detached/loose. --- Inside the front cover is the name "Jack Brennan" who I assume created the album. I don't have any history or background on this album. --- See photos for condition details. --- Will be well packed --- See shipping options above --- Payment expected within 3 days of purchase (contact me if you need more time). --- The item description is guaranteed to be accurate but all items are sold as-is unless otherwise stated. --- I don't have a way to arrange for a local pick-up of this item, I'm sorry for the inconvenience
