1930s SCARCE EARLY MICKEY MOUSE GEORGE BORGFELDT DOLL

Description: Orginal 1930's Cloth Velvet Mickey Mouse Doll - Antique approx 19" tall Licensed by George Borgfeldt For sale, NOT INCLUDING THE CASE OR STAND, is a Original 1930s Mickey Mouse Doll (with card/tag) The case and stand ARE FOR DISPLAY ONLY. Height of the doll is 19 inches, width is 14 inches. Backround: This doll was one of the first Mickey Mouse dolls to be made, this doll made by "George Borgfeldt" and is often mistaken for the "Charlotte Clark" line of Mickey Mouse dolls. Walt Disney himself often complained about how the Borgfeldt dolls looked and liked the Charlotte Clark version better. Mickey is made with velvet and made with oil cloth eyes. Has mother of pearl buttons on his pants (4). Mickey is missing his tail. There is no manufacturing maker on the bottom of his shoes. Defects on both arms, nose & on left side of his left shoe as pictured. Buttons on eyes were added. All attempted repair stichting are old and done around the 1940-1960s. Sold as is.
